error during XP setup

[Stuck like Chuck!!!]

I am repairing an installation of XP. It only goes so far
then I get an error that says "Windows cannot open this
file: rundll32.exe." I am then given the option to use
the web service to find the appropriate program or select
the program from a list in order to open the file. Where
do I go from here?

Not sure if this will help you but, I had the same problem
and then I found out that the disk was bad...did you try
to re-format the HD? (as a last option of course).
