Error deploying MS03-026. Not valid Win32 App.

Wouldn't this be nice, if there were never any problems with computers..

Hmm, I'm getting a error stating that the filename
(WindowsXP-KB823980-x86-ENU.exe) is not a valid Win32 application. Any
thoughts?

I would think it's a corrupt file, caused by a glitch while downloading. Try
d/ling a new copy and see what that does.

It doesn't seem to matter, I've downloaded it more than once, and opened it
from location. There are no errors on the Up Pro, as I have done the checks.

Empty the Temp folder and the Temporary Internet Files folder, use the Disk
Cleanup tool. To do this, follow these steps:

Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools,
and then click Disk Cleanup.
Click C: (or whatever drive on which Windows is installed), and then click
OK.
Click to select the Temporary files check box.
Click OK, and then click Yes to confirm the deletion.

I've checked Win Update, it shows no new updates, could this already be
installed and this being the reason for the error? I think the last time I
ran that was 3 or 4 days ago. I can't remember.

AHhhhhhhhhhhhhh
says in the regedit, that it was installed on 7/16/03. It's no wonder I
didn't recognize the kb article from the last two updates I did.

Thanks for that bit of info. That's awesome, I completely went numb in the
brain when it came to checking the registry. LOL
