Error deleting file or folder via recycle bin

I tried to delete a file from trash and keep getting the "error cant delete
folder images: access denied -write protected....make sure file not in use" I
tried to delete in safe mode and nothing happen. I am running xp pro 32 bit
sp3. Any suggestions?

You said it was in the trash. The Recycle Bin? Just right click on the file
and then click on Unlocker. Click the drop-down arrow in the first field and
select Delete.

When I open Recycle Bin, the file that is "locked" in not in the bin? I do not have a clue what's up with this. Again, RB does not have the file in it to unlock it.
