error code

Hi, I am getting an error code when I try to add/remove
windows components. When I go to the add/remove programs
and click on the add/remove windows components I get the
message:

"Setup was unable to open information file fp.40ext.inf
specific error code is ox2 at line 2011777033.

Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it without
reinstalling?

I did what it said and it expanded but it did not fix it -

It appears to be a missing or damaged file in the inf. file and everywhere I
have looked there has been no sure fire solution.

Have you tried a repair install.(can not be done with restore disks)
