microsoft office update says i need office sp3 update/download...but pc fails
to achieve this result even with cd loaded. it keeps displaying the above
error code.
it furthwer states during the repair installation mode that a "patch" is
missing presumed installed seaprately..i press ignore option & download fails
again....

I think your best bet to get help with this is the more specialized group,
office.setup

Be sure to explicitly state which version of Office you're working with (check
in Help/About for the exact build number).

What is Office.setup ? I am using Office 2000 Premier. Which Help/About?
