error code 0xC00D11BA

I am running Windows ME & have had no problems except
KERNEL.DLL
Whenever I try to play music through MP7 or MP9, I get the
code 0xC00D11BA, I have no sound from my computer at all
but receive no error messages until I try to use mp7/9
(video with no sound runs ok)
I cannot access my volume controls through accessories
I have been through checking cable connections, no luck

Can anybody tell me what the problem is
and how to fix it???
I'm starting to lose it..
