Error code 0x80240029

I had this problem before and followed the instructions to fix it and now I
am getting the error again. I tried to redo the instructions and discovered
that I have the
softwareDistribution folder and SoftwareDistribution.old folder. Should I
just delete the SoftwareDistribution folder? I don't know what it is and I
don't want to mess up anything.

Delete the .old folder and rename the other folder with the .old extension.
