Error code:0x8009006 while booting up

I'm a registered owner of Windows XP OEM Home Edition, since Oct 2001

I copied my hard disk to a new hard drive using "Copy Commander", which was SUCCESSFUL

But now I can not boot from either drive, it goes through the LOG ON step, and then stops with this message, "A PROBLEM IS PREVENTING WINDOWS FROM ACCURATELY CHECKING THE LICENSE FOR THIS COMPUTER. ERROR CODE:0x80090006" and could not continue from there

I tried booting in safe mode but can not get past the "Log On to windows" screen, the msg. Loading your personal settings, followed by Saving your settings, then back to "Log On to Windows" screen where the only other option is to shut down Windows.

Your help is deeply appreciated
