Error Code: 0x8007007a

Starting about a week ago, whenever I tried to add a Schedule Task, I
receive the following error message:

An error has occurred while attempting to set task account
information.
The specific error is;
0x8007007a: The data area passed to a system call is too small.

I have searched in this forum for answers and none of them work for
me. FYI, I do not have Windows Live OneCare installed. I have also
read the Microsoft KB 264522 article and it does not solve my problem
either. I only have three tasks scheduled running.

Any suggestions/comments are much appreciated.

Thank you.

I always like to make sure a machine is basically sound
before doing any trouble-shooting

I'd start up by scheduling a chkdsk /f

and also running a RAM test

Thank you for your response. I already did a chkdsk and nothing is
wrong.

Your Web page is very nice considering on what you can afford.Very nicely presented.
Good luck to the Gallery.
Sorry I posted here but I want to avoid the traffic of bad faith that people cause.

Ok thanks for the reply...
we have a lot of work to do yet on the website...
but it's only been up about a day now and will need a lot of work.

I really wanted to get something up there ASAP...
as the gallery is open now.

My wife and I have been doing volunteer work at the GAC for about four
years now and find it very rewarding.
She managed to get a grant for a year...so
she's still got a few "paychecks" coming...
and I am not about to quit my day job yet :)

Not to be cranky, but I did mention in my post that I have already
read KB 264522 and followed the steps, it didn't help.

sorry I missed that...

I suppose, since it had been working ok about a week ago...you could try
a system restore...

I've actually used system restore and it works!
