Error Checking problems

I have a message saying that there are some corrupted files on my computer.
So i tried to error check. Whenever i try to do so a message comes up that
says, "cannot open volume for direct access." What can i do to run the error
check?

Have you installed Hitman Pro. If yes uninstall and see if it resolves your
problem.
