Error Message at boot: Cannot import C:\WINNT\sp.reg
Error opening the file. There may be a disk or file
system error.

Recent actions/developments:
1. Co-computer user (family member) loads up (installs)
all the SP releases they can find at Windows site.
2. McAfee Anti-Virus detects and removes sp.dll as Trojan.
3. Disk "passes" chkdsk review.

Error message occurred before action 2.

Commentary, stragtegy very welcome. I am searching recent
posts and see some close-to-this-situation commentary.
