i have win xp pro. i need to reboot my system earlier, when rebooting i
noticed something strange. As normal the first thing on the scrren is the
dell logo, then second screen flashs is the win xp logo with the little
status bar below the logo, then the next screen flashs an error very quickly
"when trying to update a password, this return status indicates that the
value provided as the current password is not correct" this message does not
stay on long before it repeats back to the beggining the dell logo, the the
win xp logo and again the error message. this repeatly repeats its self and
will not go any furthur. i have tried rebooting, in safe mode, normal and
also last known good configuration, no of these helps just keeps going back
to the same thing. I have called dell and the tech (so called tech) acted
like he did not know what was happening. he said he would call and check on
me latter to see how i was coming. i would appreciate any help on this.

I had a problem simular to that, was getting Lsass.exe....error...had to
re-image machine using ghost...corruption in windows.......it sounds like you
have a corrupt operation system.
