Error 8481 in dcdiag

New DC in site and I get the message in event
viewer "Account-identifier failed to initialize properly
etc.,etc". I,ve gone through the normal checks i.e.
domain controller rights, dns resolution and such. When I
run dcdiag I get the message "attribute ridsetreference
missing" and then "could not get rid set reference:
failed with error 8481". I've identified the FSMO and as
far as I can tell file replication is taking place but
I'm unable to get a rid pool from this FSMO. I cannot
find anything in the knowledge base pertaining to this
error and I cannot add anything to the active directory
on this DC..Help

If you can verify that your RID master is OK, you could try using ntdsutil
and move it to another server.

I know that I can add items to the active directory on
the RID master and can run dcdiag and it returns no
errors. Is their another way to verify it's integrity
before I move it? Thanks for the help.
