Hi all,

I have a VPN connection setup to use a dial up to access a PC at the office.
All was
well until my dial up service expired. I left that ISP and changed to
another dial up,
which is SBC global (in the US). I created the new connection and logged in
without
problems, but (obviously<g>) now when I attempt to connect to the VPN I get
this error:

Error 623 The System Could Not Find the Phone Book Entry for this Connection

Ok, so I went into the VPN's properties and found that the Dial another
connection
first check box was not checked. Odd. Ok, so I checked it and tried again.
Same
error, went back into properties and the above mentioned checkbox was again
unchecked.

Ok, so now my question.... why is this check box unchecking itself?

Thanks for your time and assistance :-)

Thank you for your reply, but as I mentioned in my OP, I already tried that.
My problem is that for some unknown reason, the configuration (to connect
via dial up) is not "sticking". I have one other idea I need to try... that is deleting
my ISP connection and the VPN and creating them again. Perhaps I did
something out of order that the VPN creation process did not like.

Again, thanks for your time and assistance.

Follow up and closure.

I logged in with the user that created the ISP connection and deleted
everything, including the connection to the private network. Then I logged
in as the user that will normally be using this PC and deleted the dial up and
VPN connections.

Finally I recreated both connections (ISP first, followed by VPN) and
now all is working fine.

Thanks to those that replied, I appreciate your help.

Saga
