Sure. Log into your mail account using a web broswer. Only yuou can know
the actual link to use, since we can't know what mail service you employ.

Brian,

I am using HOTMAIL, log into the HOTMAIL on the web using a link from MSN
LATINAMERICA (PERU) or MSN SYMPATICO (CANADA).

And?

WHat do I do when I am logged into my HOTMAIL account. I have reviewed every
OPTION and cannot determine which option I need to activate or de-activate to
solve this nagging problem.

THis has caused every 3 to 4 months problems receving my Mail and as a
result Ihad to recreate the full profile in MAIL with all the additional work
to reset TASK, AGENDA and etc.
THanks for you help, as I have been using OUTLOOK for over 8 years I am not
to prone to any change of MAIL software.

That should be all you need to do. You should need to log into your Hotmail
account once via the web to verify the account and from that point on,
Outlook should be able to access the same account.
THis has caused every 3 to 4 months problems receving my Mail and as a

You may need to log in interactively periodically to verify the account is
still active (although I have never had to do that), but apart from that, it
should work. Creating a new profile in NO WAY requires you tro recreate any
data, like your calendar ot tasks or contacts, unless you're improperly
creating the profile.

Are you using the Outlook Connector?

Hi Brian,

First let me thank you for taking of your valuable time to reply to my
questions.

Now let me describe you the crunch of it:

1. I have always used HOTMAIL for more than 8-10 years
2. I have been using MS OUTLOOK for the last 5 years for my MAIL
3. I have been using MS OUTLOOK with all its full potential: calendar,
contact, task, journals etc for the last 3 years

Now what has begun to happen since december 2007 whenever MS dcided to
implement this business of the OUTLOOK CONNECTOR is that at more or less
every 4 months there appears to be a problem synchronizing my mail, and this
error 4203

appears all the time in the log report.

IN addition when it stops functioning, an eror 4104 shows up.

THen I cannot get MS OUTLOOK to synchronize wioth the HOTMAIL web based EMail.

I was told that I needed to go delete the profile in MAIL (CONTROL PANEL -
MAIL), and recreate it in order that OULOOK CONNECTOR wil be operative
again.

DOing this deletes all MS OUTLOOK information: contacts, tasks, etc.... It
is a pain...

Therefor if you have any specific procedures I can note down in order to
eleiminate the 4203 and 4104, avoir to delete and recreate the MAIL profile,
and keep the SYNCHRONIZATION of the WEB MAIL HOTMAIL with MS OUTLOOK
functioning without these wastefull interruption, I would greatly appreciate.

Just logging into the WEB and verifying my HOTMAIL account exists and is
operative is not sufficient to fix the 4203. I have done it.

THanks again, and I am wating for any advice to solve this functionality
problem.

Are you saying that doesn't happen?

Creating a new profile does NOT delete this data. You merely need to add it
in again. Your existing PST contains the data. Configure your profile to
use the existing PST.
Just logging into the WEB and verifying my HOTMAIL account exists and is
operative is not sufficient to fix the 4203. I have done it.

Is this a free or a paid Hotmail account?

With the installation of Office 2010 Pro I am getting this same problem.

Logging onto Hotmail directly does not solve the problem. Reinstalling Outlook Connector does not solve the problem.
Deleting and reinstalling the Hotmail account in Outlook does not solve the problem.

All these products are from Microsoft. A solution from Microsoft would be appreciated.

Cannot follow the fix that was posted by Brian and can only say *** Logging onto

Georgie boy, that is not what Brian said to the OP for the fix. Read carefully as to
what to do AFTER when Login into Hotmail. READ CAREFULLY because what that person
did was the same as you. Read.Read, and follow the instructions for the fix
