error 39

I get this error code from my CDROM Driver. I lost the driver in the middle
of looking at a CD. I have done the troubleshoot. i.e. Deleted the CDROM In
the device Manager and scanned for new hardware. It says yes I am here but
error code 39. I have looked for the four files (from the DEtails). I was
told to use the WINXP CD!!!! But for obvious reasons I could NOT. HELP
