Error#1802 during recovery

I have this problem, Error#1802 during recovering Windows
XP Home Edition. It says that image file invalid or
corrupted, so it cant install it, when i click OK button
it drops me to DOS. I dont know what to do, i did recovery
before and it was ok so I just confused. Please help!!!

It sounds as if you're using a Recovery CD and not the XP CD. The 18xx errors are exhibited by PowerQuest image, which most OEMs use (including Compaqs). If this is the case, your best option is to contact the PC manufacturer.
