In my company there is a new Windows 2000 server, the printers were installed
and shared in the Print server, but when the users try to connect to the
printer share they are getting the error code - 1797 Unknow driver.
It is happening just for the user that try to install it for the first time.
Workstation Operational System- Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP2.
Server - Windows 2000.
The print server is not in the Domain because some users are not able to
join in it, the printers are deployed by the Intranet, the users search for
the printer and click on the button to install in the workstation, the Web
application set the connection between the Workstation and the server
executing this command ->
Start > Run > \\printer server name\Shared Printer.
