error 1635 after automatic update

Had problems with windows installer after an update, had to resort to a
system restore to get PC working again. PC worked fine until the updates ran
again...now i have the same problem. Tried the windows installer clean up
utility, but to no avail.

latest installation: KB908531/KB911562/KB912812/KB911565/MB911567

anyone any ideas on how to resolve this?

There has been a lot of issues dealing with a bad update file in thi
last update. It is reported to trip over its own feet and needs to b
removed. Microsoft is aware of it and is working on a new one. th
culprit is

KB90853

uninstall it through add/remove or do a system restore
