Error 1316A

Scansoft product PDF Create 2 gives Error 1316A when MS
Spyware loads. It seems to be looking for file
2926db.msi. THis happens twice in the load and as long
as that is acknowledged the product loads and completes a
scan normally with not spyware found. huh? anyone else?

A good many folks are reporting errors resembling this that relate to the
Windows Installer.

Do you have Scansoft PDF Create 2 installed?

This seems to relate to an install which appears incomplete to the Windows
Installer.

One cure is to reinstall or uninstall and reinstall the product involved in
these spurious message.

The other--if the product isn't installed, or can't be uninstalled for some
reason, is to use the Windows Installer cleanup tool from Microsoft:

I don't know how much effort is involved in an uninstall and reinstall of
the product you mention, but that'd be what I'd try first, I think.
