Greetings....first I would like to thank you in advance
for any information given, pertaining to my W2K pro issue.
As stated in the subject...I disabled profile1 for more
than one service under the "Log On" tab. Now I not able
to view the properties page for any service that I try
and open. the only services that are running are:cdrom
access,event log, simple tcp/ip services,and snmp
service. I am able to surf the web, download updates, but
any other app that requires msi, forget about it. Like I
said...thanks in advance! I have been trying to fix this
problem for about 6wks on my own, but to no avail
(e-mail address removed)

It seems like you are trying to disable services to increase performance,
but you are really just crippling yourself.
If you don't know what a service does and what depends on it: DO NOT
DISABLE IT.
It looks like you may have disabled your RPC service or WMI service.
