Error 101 after MS Critical Patch updates

MS AntiSpyware was running fine until I installed the
most recent set of Critical Security Windows patches. Now
I get a 101 error. I've already tried a clean
installation by uninstalling the application, removing
associated "GIANT" items in the registry and removing the
MS Antispyware folder. This did not help.
