cannot enable firewall service after spyware removal
seems to occur in conjunction with microsoft antispyware

error 10047: an address incompatible with the requested
protocol was used

if you get this problem, open a command prompt and type:

Code: netsh winsock reset

reboot, and you will get your firewall back.

This is correct information, but only on Windows XP Service Pack 2.

If you are on an earlier SP level, or not on Windows XP, you need more
information, or, perhaps, a third party app.
