Outlook 2002 on an XP box.

I'm getting this error message. "Connection to server was
interrupted." (0x800CCC0F) Checked the firewall settings
and all is well. Norton is setup to allow Outlook emails.
I maintain 9 email accounts within Outlook. Once I delete
5 of the accounts, I no longer get the error. Anything
after 4 accounts and I get an error. Does Outlook have a
limit on the number of accounts? Is this error related to
a timing issue? Need help?

Do you have multiple POP3 accounts on the same mail server? If so, your ISP
may limit the number of connections that it allows from a particular
computer. Outlook 2002 tries to download from all accounts simultaneously,
so it may be exceeding that limit. Outlook 2003 solves this problem by only
trying to download from one mailbox at a time on any given server.

I've been having the same problem and only have one account. Everything worked fine until one day I got the error message. I checked the KB and attempted to resolve the issue by following the steps suggested but still have the problem. If I disable mail scanning in NAV I can send/receive with no problem, but that's not really a solution. Any other ideas out there
Thanks

Yes, it is. Having integrated mail scanning is no safer that not having it,
provided you continue to use your AV's real-time file scanner.

You should check with Symantec to see if they have an update to fix the
problem.
