I have been using Windows XP for quite awhile now and
every format and re-install Windows has been fine and
activated. Now it seems that something has gone wrong,
and I can only activate Windows XP via the telephone
option. Could something be wrong with my hardware
creating this problem? I have not changed any hardware
that would invoke problems of that sort. Thank you in
advance for any help you can provide. [was also wondering
if the activation server might be down].
Now it seems that I cannot update as well. Does anyone
know if this could be a hardware problem? I figure there
has got to be something more for an explaination than I've
formatted too much. This doesn't seem that simple. It
gives me an error number [0X800A138F], but there is no
information about it on the website as far as I've
searched.
It also seems that this problem is singling out Microsoft
activities...I cannot activate, update, play microsoft
games on LAN or online. Everything else seems to work
without much problem. Although the system does crash
quite often as well.
