Update Problem

I just recently posted about my activation problem. Now
it seems that I cannot update as well. Does anyone know
if this could be a hardware problem? I figure there has
got to be something more for an explaination than I've
formatted too much. This doesn't seem that simple. It
gives me an error number, but there is no information
about it on the website as far as I've searched.

It would have been a lot more useful if you had kept to the same thread,
or at least quoted something of your problem. As it is, since you have
provided no details of your "activation problem", I can't give you a
specific answer. To determine if you're having hardware issues, start
doing some hardware tests! The RAM test I like is Memtest86
(http://www.memtest86.com/). Download the Windows precompiled version
to make a bootable floppy. Get hard drive diagnostic utilities from the
mftr.'s website. There are other hardware tests, but start with those.
