Error 0x80070021 In Outlook 07 (Vista)

Help!

I've downloaded the backup tool because I have to send my laptop in to HP
yet again. However, when I try to backup my current email file, I get this
message:

Error 0x80070021: The process cannot access the file because another process
has locked a portion of the file.

When this message comes up, I have no other programs opened manually - ie
there may be something getting in the way from the Startup menu, but I don't
know about it.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Why not simply copy your data files, with outlook closed, that all the
backup tool does, other than appending the word backup to the file

Google Desktop installed by any chance ??

Kill the Google Desktop process and then try your back up

While you may not think you have another program open, apparently you do.
Restart your PC and hold Shift while logging in. When the desktop has settled
down and is ready to use, release the Shift key and then just copy your PST.
