I recently ran windows update and my computer display has gone back in time.
It looks like the same number of colors and resolution as windows 3.1 had.
Although very nostalgic it is quite annoying.

I am running XP professional. I have restarted my computer. Gone into
display and settings to change it there. I am reluctant to system restore
because my last restore date was a while ago.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? I think it might be NVIDIA drivers.

Did you download drivers from Windows Update?

Go get the drivers from nvidia.com and install it.

System Restore should be creating a new system restore point once a
day.
