Equations

I m having a great deal of trouble trying to locate symbols or equation
for the mean, an X with a bar over the top and grand mean, an X with
double bar over the top. Does anybody have any idea where I might fin
these symbols?

Select the variable that needs an over-bar. Look in the Equation
toolbar, where you'll find an "Embellishments" button. Click that
button, which will reveal a number of new buttons, one of which
is an over-bar. With a variable selected, clicking that button
will insert the over-bar.

For more options, including a double over-bar, click the
"Underbar and overbar templates" button in the Equation toolbar.

If the toolbar isn't visible, select View > Toolbar, in the
Equation editor window.
