equations in Word 2007

I want to insert a simple multiplication formula into a table. How is that
done in Word 2007?

On the "Insert" tab you can use "Equation". This is the new 2007 equation
editor.

Or on the "Insert" tab you can use "Object" and select "Microsoft Equation
3.0". This is the old equation editor. If this option is not available to
you, it means you haven't installed the feature.

and type in your forumla and add the appropriate numeric formatting switch from the dropdown.
