Epson1280 and HP PhotoSmart conflicts

Either the PhotoSmart 1315 driver does not load, or the Epson 1280 will send
a message that appears on the Photsmart screen when concluding printing.
Rebooting sometimes cures this, both printers have been
installed/uninstalled several times.
They are connectd to separate USB ports.
Syatem has Zone Alarm installed, but removing this did not seem to cure
(HP's suggestion)
 
The only reliable advice from HP would be "Don't listen to HP
Tech Support." HP gave up on being a 1st rate American
company years ago. Anytime, a phone tech support tells you
an Uninstall or Re-install will solve your problem they are right
about only one thing - It solves their problem and gets you off
the phone.
