Epson V750 fluid mount vs Coolscan V

Which of the above would produce the best results with 35mm slides and
negatives??

I gather that fluid mounting is good but against that is the longer
light path and more bounces in the flatbed V750. Is this correct and if
so which should I go for??

Oh good. That is the answer I was hoping to hear. I don't fancy doing
wet mounting.
