Epson Stylus 680 and 950 on same PC ?

Peter

I currently have an Epson Stylus 680 set up on my PC and have a 950
arriving tomorrow which I want to install to run on the same PC.

Looking at instructions on the Epson site, I am getting a bit confused.
They say something along the lines of me having to un-install current
printing software before installing a new printer.

Does anybody have any idea if I can run both on the same machine?

You will need two ports---eg one parallel and one USB (or two USB).

I doubt if it is necessary to uninstall old SW. Simply install the
new driver. If you move the old printer to different port, you'll
need to tell the driver where it is. This is done in the "properties"
menu for the printer

Thank you both for your replies, the Epson site was not terribly clear
on this.

I have a Epson C64, 820, 785EPX (All USB), HP 1100 and 870cxe (Useing USB
adapters) and HP 4MV on the Par port. Only had a problem when my USB
extender cable was too long (20 feet) Now have all USB runs down to 12 foot
with USB2 cables and hub, works fine.
