Epson Scan won't open with Epson Perfection 3200

I think this might have come up before but I havven't seen a solution
Suddenly Every time I try to run Epson Scan , I get the message Escndv.exe
has
encountered a problem and needs to close, the file mentioned is esui.dll.

I've tried reinstalling the software and am using Windows XP on a Sony
PCG-GRT916Z Pent4 with 3.06 GHz and 512Mb.

Any ideas on how to resolve this

What version of Epson Scan are you using? I think the lastest is
2.5a. If you are lower then try download this driver from Epson and
install it.
 
You might look at the www.newsoftinc.com site. They wrote these buggy
programs for Epson. Go to the support area and you will find a registry
cleaning tool and other tips.
