Epson RX500 - comments/issues?

Recently purchased the Epson Photo RX500. Use seems good, print quality
good but slow, but have paper jams - even mentioned in the manual.

I'm wondering if anyone has owned this printer? It's my first ownership of
a copier/scanner/photo printer and would like to know if there are other
models that are better in print quality, speed, and not having to mess with
paper jams - fanning paper, but not too thick a stack, etc.

I've got a few days left to return it for a full refund and think I might
just do that, even if I go purchase it again. So I'm looking for input on
the best/reasonably priced printer with output as close as possible to
professionally developed photos.

thanks.
