epson r300 status monitor melfunction on xp home sp2.

from clean install everything looks fine untill you bring up stm,3 in windows
printing pref, the whole 6 levels are blanked out. any ideas. ? ?
 
Ensure you have the latest Status Monitor package from the Epson website.
