Epson CX5200/4"x6" Printing

Hi,

I bought a pack of Kodak 4x6 in. photo paper. (The actual size is 4x6.5
in.)

The problem I have is that the Epson CX5200 paper selection for 4x6 in.
is 4x6 in. 'Perforated'. When I print on this paper, the output gives me
a 1/8 in. border on three sides, which I expect and want, but the image
prints borderless on one of the long edges, which I don't want, or
expect.

On the Epson print preview, however, it looks like it will print ok with
borders on all sides.

I've tried printing from three different editing applications, but
nothing works.

Any ideas? I really want to print on this size paper.

Sincerely,
Bruce

Try using Epson paper and you won't have that problem.

Can you tell me, does that paper give you borders, or borderless? Does the
perforated paper tear off cleanly?

yes the perforations tear off cleanly. You then have a borderless print.

Well, I got the Epson paper, and followed directions. Using MS Picture It
7.0, which is certified to work with this paper, borders are still left on
the short edges. There are no borders on the long edges, but the entire
picture is centered like it should be.

As you know, the printer prints over the perforated margins on the long
edge by about 3 mm. When you tear the long border off at the perforation,
the print goes to the edge.

If I use Jasc Image Expert, the image prints a bit smaller. When I tear
off all borders, there is still a nice white, same width all around, border
around the entire, centered image. This is what I originally wanted, but,
the image is a little smaller.

I still have to try it with Adobe PhotoShop Elements.
