Epson C42+ Printer- big problem

Probably a broken gear, just maybe something like the pump mechanis
which is driven from the paper feed rollor - unless of course yo
dropped something inside

Got to appreciate it really is difficult to say with out looking, th
reason I suggested the above is that I am assuming it is a cycli
noise rather than a random click, clues like this would help

Have you tried lubricating the silver guide bar that the print head travels
on? Sometimes that gets dirty and needs lubricated.

Sounds like it may be a cleaning station that popped out of place, or
its spring loaded platform my have sprung a spring.

Or, the cam/gear that controls the inkwiper/headlock may have gotten
gummed up and is not moving properly.

I suggest dripping several drops of ammoniated window cleaner/isopropyl
alcohol down on the cleaning station and to it's left where the ink
wiper/headlock cam is located to try to dissolve some potentially dried ink.

Hard to diagnose long distance like that.
