Epson 880 All lights flashing!!!!

Can anyone tell me what is wrong if every light starts flashing (3 x red and
1 x green) and I get a warning saying that I should "clear any obstructions,
turn the printer off for a few minutes then turn it on again. If the
problem persists, contact your dealer".
There are no obstructions and the problem persists. I've even tried
unplugging the mains and USB cables. The handbook doesn't mention this one!
Any ideas please.
Thanks Chris

Try this
1. Turn printer off.
2. Disconnect printer from computer.
3. With printer turned off, hold down both the Paper and the Cleaning
buttons.
4. Continue to hold the buttons and turn the printer on.
5. When the Paper light starts to flash, release both buttons.
6. Immediately press the Cleaning button and hold it down for at least 10
seconds (until all the lights begin to flash and the printer will begin to
reset).
7. When the Power light is steady, the printer should work.
8. It might be a good idea to check the waste ink tray and if necessary
replace the waste ink pad.

Thanks Tomcas. Before I do what you suggest, how do I replace the waste ink
pad? (the manual doesn't tell me how).
I suspect that it may well be the waste tray being full as I've done a lot
of printing.
Can you offer this last piece of advice?
Much appreciated, Chris

Hi Tomcas,
Thanks a million. I did what you suggested and it's working again.
I owe you a pint at the very least..

Thanks Tomcas. Before I do what you suggest, how do I replace the waste ink
pad? (the manual doesn't tell me how).

That is generally a procedure performed by a service tech. The process
involves disassembling the printer, cleaning or replacing the pad,
reassembling the printer, then performing the counter reset action.

Many thanks Gary,
Looks like a bigger job than I thought.
My printer is working again now so looks like it wasn't the problem anyway.
Appreciate your help. Chris
