Epson 3490 driver

I just got the Epson 3490 and installed the software that came on the
CD. The driver it installed is v2.70a. I also downloaded the latest
driver from the Epson web site v2.75a but have not installed it. Since
everything seems to work fine should I just leave well enough alone and
only update the driver if something goes wrong, or should I go ahead and
install the newer driver now?

Personally? If all is well then leave it be.

Check to see what the new drivers are suppose to do. Most of the time they
are released to correct some sort of problem. The correction may or may not
effect your circumstance and system setup.
