An excellent review, thanks for posting. I bought the Epson 3170 two weeks
ago and have found pretty much the same as you have, although I haven't gone
into the same depth I must admit. An excellent scanner for the price
((around £200 here in the UK). I'm very pleased with the scanner, it's
definately one of my better purchases.
