Entry Point Not Found Error

Hi-
Can anyone tell what to do with this error? I'm so losed.
While trying to access Outlook email or other programs I get this error then
it reads:
The procedure entry point INTERNETGETSECURITYINFOBYURLD Could not be located
in the dynamic link library WININEt.dll.
I can't even do a system restore without an error message.

Thanks for any info regarding this error,
Roseanne

Roseanne,

Do you have IE7 Beta 2 installed?

Hi Ramesh,

Yes I think so. Its in add/remove programs but wont let me remove it.
Theres no uninstall feature and it keeps telling me another user downloaded
it.
When I go into IE it gives me an error:
iexplore.exe Entry Point Not Found
The procdure enty pont InternetgetSecurityInfoByUrlW could not be located in
the dynamic link library WININET.Dll.

Thanks for any ideas,
Roseanne

Roseanne,

That's the problem one can expect after installing a Beta product. Beta
products should not be used only in test systems. See if one of these
archived threads have the answer:

http://groups.google.com/groups?q=InternetgetSecurityInfoByUrlW&start=10&ie=UTF-8&

If nothing helps, a reformat/clean install may be the way to go.
