Entering text that start with Zero ?

How do I enter text that starts with a zero and have the cell show the
zero.

Example :


0256
0891
0188
etc

Start with a leading single quote, which won't show.

The single quote (and this?) work when the text is keyed; I frequently
paste from Mozilla/Firefox/IE, and that problem, as well as fractions
like 1/6 turning into dates are a pain, and seem to be uncorrectable;
is there a way to have pasting be taken literally. BTW, I have tried
the paste special options
