Entering rooms at MSN Zone for Age of Empires (Conquerors)

Hi!

I've just switched router (from d-link to Netgear WGR 624
v2) and when I enter a room (Deatmatchroom with 300
players) the firewall shuts down the connection. I guess
it thinks there is an attack since app. 300
players "pinging" me at the same time. I NEED to get this
thing working.. Any ideas?

Hi,

If there firewall is blocking you, try updating it's firmware
with the assistance of 1-800-NET-GEAR support. They
are responsible to get it working properly for you. Ask them
to either setup a "DMZ" (De-Militarized Zone which means
the firewall is disabled) to bypass the built-in firewall, or open
the necessary ports in the equipment with you... Here's the List: http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits/PortRoute.html#ports

Thanks Jimmy!
The thing is that i can enter rooms with a smaller number of players in it..and it works great with the launch and gaming..I've just played a game and everything looks great.

But, I cant join the rooms that I want and where all my friends are..

I need to have my machine rather protected and would prefer to not use the DMZ.
