Entering Recipient Email Address Excrutiatingly Slow

Guest

I recently bought a Dell Latitude Notebook with Vista and Windows Basic.
After about one month use, for no apparent reason, entering a recipeient’s
email address has become extremely slow (the field accepts about one letter
every few seconds). I have tried repairing the PST file (using PSTSCAN),
repairing office (using the Installation CD), and finally uninstalling and
re-installing Office. None of these steps has solved the problem.

Any ideas on what might be going wrong?

Ah, yeah, Dell crippled their Outlook 2007 configuration if your laptop
comes with "OutlookAddin" preinstalled. It's developed by Cyberlink for
Dell. You can uninstall it through Control Panel-> Uninstall a program.

In addition install this update from Microsoft;

Unfortunately, installing the update did not solve the problem, which seems
to be getting worse. I also checked for "OutlookAddin" and it appeared not
to have been installed on my computer. The other solution I attempted was to
reduce the size of my PST file from about 650 MB to 550 MB. I have not
noticed any other performace issues with Outlook, so this is very strange.
Do you have any other ideas for resolving this problem? Thank you.
