When I enter a name in the To, or CC, or Bcc field, Outlook 2002
automatically provides a list of individuals who I have previouslly
sent a msg to (I believe this is either the autocomplete or
autoresolution function at play). Is there a way I can inactivate
this feature, or delete an address that pops up that is no longer
valid?

Thanks,

Hi, in Outlook 2002, select Tools> Options> Preferences
(tab)> Email Options(button)> Advanced Email Options
(button)> ... and deselect "Suggest names while
completing To, Cc and Bcc fields". That might do it.

Also, you can remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by
highlighting the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your
arrow key to migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before
you tab out of the field. To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions
here:

You might also want to stop adding people to your mailbox
automatically. I turned this off, because I was adding a lot of
people who I will most likely never contact again.

Tools / Options / Preference tab, E-mail Options button, at the
bottom, remove check mark by "Automatically put people I reply to in"

Not relevant. This is Outlook 2002, which has no such option.
