entering a cents symbol

Before Vista I used to be able to do alt 155 to enter a cents symbol. Now I
can't. Does anyone know where I can find a listing of the various keystrokes
to enter symbols into Windows Mail?

I understand this requires using the numeric keypad, which my laptop
doesn't have. Another way it to copy and paste from the Character Map:
Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Character Map.

OK, thanks. Seems like a pain when it was so much easier before. I also have
a laptop but have a plug in numberic keypad. Still doesn't work to do the alt
+ method within Windows Mail Oh well, at least I now know how to copy various
symbols and where they are.

Hold down the Alt key and press 0162 on the number pad. ¢

When you highlight the symbol in Character map, the ALT + keycode is displayed
in the lower right corner for the font selected and if a keycode is available.
