hi, i wanted to clean up my computer using adaware, sypbot etc and i read
that its a better "clean" when in safe mode. so in run i typed in "msconfig"
the boot tab i checked safeboot

now safemode loads up but all i get is the dos prompt. if i close that
nothing else comes up no toolbar (i.e the start button in the bottom left) no
nothing

how do i exit out of safe mode now? do you know the dos commands to get back
into msconfig or the system configuration utility?

your immediate response is greatly appreciated.

Try entering the following at the prompt.

%WINDIR%\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\Binaries\msconfig.exe

Note: When you changed the settings earlier you probably
selected "MINIMAL (ALTERNATESHELL). You should have selected
"MINIMAL". Also, here's a program that makes booting into Safe
Mode easier.

BootSafe

Good luck
