"Enter Configuration Password" ...Password not remembered...

My friends on the "System Security" option (when you press F2) to choose the
boot option, does not let me change the boot option, because I do not
remember the "Enter Configuration Password"...password. I can enable, disable
and set up my primary password and/or Admin Password...But the Configuration
password is the one I can not remember! Need to know how to disable it or at
least how to find out what passwsord is the one listed (*******)!

Since you reference "F2", I assume you are talking about a BIOS
password. This has nothing to do with Windows (your operating system).
If you have a desktop computer, you can reset the BIOS to default by
either moving a jumper on the motherboard or removing the motherboard
battery for a while. Sometimes it takes only a few minutes, sometimes a
few hours. Refer to your motherboard manual for details.

If you have a laptop, it is more difficult. In that case, post back with
the make/model of your laptop or call the laptop mftr.'s tech support.

If you aren't talking about a BIOS password, them please post back with
a better description of what you are doing.

You will need to contact Dell Tech Support. Here is a TinyURLd link to
Dell's page with details:

How Do I Clear the BIOS Password on My Dell Computer?

Obviously you'll need to provide them with some sort of proof of ownership.

Thanks Malke...I contacted dell Support...Of course they asked for my laptop
Service Tag and to who is registered to...And they told me a password over
the phone and it worked!...Thanks! Great help! Now I see the "Enter Config
Password" entry in the System Security section is gone! Well...At least I
will not use it again for some time!
Thanks! Great Advice!
