Ent ering password

After having started XP-home, and entering regular
password, I frequently stop for a brief period (2 minutes)
and when activating again, message shows wrong pass word,
and I have to reenter. Is there a way this csn be
eliminated. Thanks. Ray
 
Try right-clicking on the desktop > Properties > Screen Saver and then
either
(1) Click on the down arrow next to Screen Saver and select "none"
or (2) Uncheck the "On resume, password protect" or "On Resume, Display
Welcome Screen" depending on which is displayed
